Our Commitment to Accuracy
Every article published on this site goes through a research and verification process, as described in our Editorial Policy. Despite this, errors can occur — whether through outdated source data, changes to project details after publication, or human oversight. When they do, we treat correcting them as a priority.
Types of Corrections
Factual corrections. These involve inaccurate statements of fact — such as incorrect statistics, misattributed statements, wrong dates, or misidentified agencies or officials. Factual corrections are made as soon as they are verified and are clearly noted within the article.
Updates. These reflect new developments since original publication — for example, a project reaching a new stage, a policy changing, or new official data becoming available. Updates are distinguished from corrections, since they reflect the evolution of a story rather than an original error.
Minor edits. These include typographical errors, grammatical corrections, formatting fixes, or minor stylistic adjustments that do not affect the factual substance of an article. Minor edits are made without formal notation.
How We Handle Corrections
When a factual error is identified — whether through internal review, reader feedback, or new information — we follow this process:
- Verify the correction against a credible, official, or otherwise reliable source
- Update the article to reflect the accurate information
- Note the correction within or at the end of the article for any substantive factual change, including the date the correction was made
- Review related articles where the same error may have been repeated
How to Report an Error

- A link to the relevant article
- A description of the error
- Where possible, a source supporting the correction
We aim to review correction requests within 48 hours.
Transparency
We do not quietly alter previously published facts without disclosure. Significant factual corrections remain visible within the article, ensuring readers — including those who may have already read the original version — can see what changed and why.
